The Artwork Collection

Robertson’s ‘Lightboxes’ are a modern canvas where the artist is able to bring film quality and dimension to enrich the storytelling narrative of the image.
Colours become sumptuous and vivid, monochrome works take on a graphic quality. The artworks pulse with energy and vibrate like a silent interlude.
The rose becomes the constant narrative, the artist uses this symbolism of peace, creating a focal point in each artwork.
In the lightbox series, the rose becomes a literal beacon of light and hope in the midst of the swirling human expression of colour, texture, clothing, hands, skin, nails, freckles, scars, tattoos, hair, jewellery and the environment they are photographed in.
Two lighting styles are available using the latest LED control options. Still white light or fully controllable with interactive and programmable colour changing sequence options to last a lifetime.
Crated, ready to hang with aluminum mounting brackets, providing a flush wall mount. Plug socket is customizable.
-
Robertson’s ‘Neon’ series provoke a strong response of attraction with a sense of voyeuristic fascination for the viewer, revealing the subjects inner-most subconscious and playing with the delight of the viewers voyeuristic gaze.
Neon is used metaphorically with the symbolism of the rose to illuminate the dark recesses of the human mind, turning private beliefs into contemporary provocation.
Acid free and museum approved ACM panels are routed and folded into boxes that hang flush on the wall 75mm deep and 1 metre square. The artwork is applied and then finally the neon.

Robertson’s sculptures and objects are provocatively playful twists on the narrative of Peace and Love that underpin his practice and artworks.
He predominantly works with cast crystal, neon, gold leaf, hawk wings, resin, one-way mirrors, and highly polished stainless steel.
Some instances incorporating iconic emotive social symbols of conflict into his commentary, such as his police-issue Glock pistols and tank barrels.
